Activities within Siruthuli’s Tree Park DONE BY SIRUTHULI ORGANISATION
1. Preparing soil mixture.
2. Mother bed preparation.
3. Collection of seeds from various places.
4. Preparing those seeds before seeding them on to the mother bed.
5. Spreading those prepared seeds within the mother bed.
6. Watering, de-weeding and aerating the soil on the mother bed.
7. Sheltering the mother bed from desiccating sun.
8. Maintaining the bed until sufficient germination takes place.
9. Filling up soil mixtures within holed polybags.
10. Arranging bags on rows and watering them on daily basis.
11. Transplanting two or three inch long seedling from mother bed to soil filled bags.
12. Shifting sapling bags after 45 days of growth.
13. Sapling care – watering, de-weeding, pruning lateral branches etc.
14. Administering pesticides whenever need arises.
15. Supporting tree planting activities by supplying manure, grown up saplings
